LIFE AT RENO DOGS

Where Real Training Meets Real LifE

Not Your Average Dog Training Facility

At Reno Dogs, training isn’t confined to four walls or sterile floors. Your dog lives, learns, and grows in a dynamic environment designed to prepare them for real-world challenges. From structured hikes in the Reno-Tahoe wilderness to calm focus work in bustling public spaces, every moment is an opportunity to teach reliability, confidence, and balance.

Why Choose Reno Dogs Over the Rest?

Most trainers rely on kennels, rigid routines, and one-size-fits-all programs.

Reno Dogs is different.

Our customized Board and Train programs are designed around your dog’s unique temperament, energy level, behavior history, and lifestyle. We go beyond teaching commands—we build structure, clarity, and communication so you can stop managing behavior and start enjoying life with your dog.

Real Environments. Real Results. We train in homes, on trails, and in public spaces so your dog learns to succeed where it actually matters.

Expert-Led Care. Led by Courtney, an experienced behavior specialist with a proven track record in behavior modification and advanced obedience, every dog receives thoughtful, hands-on guidance.

Beyond Obedience. We don’t stop at sit and stay. We develop calm, confident, responsive dogs who can thrive anywhere—with owners who feel capable leading them.

More Than Training.

It’s a Lifestyle.

When you choose Reno Dogs, you’re not just investing in obedience—you’re joining a community.

Clients enjoy ongoing support, group classes, and guidance long after programs end.

Because true success isn’t what happens here at Reno Dogs—it’s the adventures, walks, and peaceful home life you’ll enjoy for years to come.

REno Dogs- FAQs

  • We do not guarantee results because every dog is different with their own genetics, history, and environment that affect their progress. Success depends not only on the training provided but also on the owner’s consistency, intention and follow through at home after the program. What we do guarantee is giving you the tools, guidance, and support to help your dog succeed to their fullest potential.

  • We use a variety of training tools to create clear and consistent communication between you and your dog. These may include slip leashes, prong collars and E-collars for off leash control. Each tool is chosen based on each individual dog, their handler and their training goals. Our approach ensures that every dog is set up for success in a way that is fair, effective and easy for owners to continue at home.

  • When dogs are sleeping or unsupervised, they are safely kept in their designated kennels. This provides them with a secure, calm environment while also preventing them from practicing unwanted behaviors. It’s an important part of their training routine and helps them feel comfortable and settled during the transition.

  • While we don’t offer traditional payment plans, we do provide the option to split payments, allowing owners to make smaller installments over time. This way, you can manage the investment more comfortably while still moving forward with your dog’s training.

  • Each dog follows a structured daily routine that balances training, rest and enrichment. We rotate them through one-on-one training sessions, supervised exercise, and playtime along with scheduled downtime to help them relax and recover. As dogs progress through their program group training, pack hikes and field trips become a priority to generalize behaviors and build their real world skills and confidence.

  • This program is an immersive experience designed to set both you and your dog up for long-term success. Not only do we provide hands-on training for your dog, but we also include the tools and lessons you need to feel confident and capable in your handling before your dog transitions back home. You will receive weekly updates on your dog's progress while they are here and have access to a shared album where all your dog’s training videos and pictures will be stored, so you can follow their progress every step of the way.

  • The transition from board and train back into your home is designed to be as smooth and supportive as possible. Clients typically spend 2–4 hours with their dog and trainer in hourly sessions focused on handling, theory and real life application. This preparation ensures confidence and clarity before the final go-home session, where your trainer will personally bring your dog back to you.
